As you can see on this programme 53, we are struggling for Saturday walk leaders, if this trend continues we may need to review our future Saturday walk programme.

Could walk leaders please make sure that their telephone numbers are available for contact on the day of the walk in case prospective walkers need to query something about the walk.

Please note that after John Raynham’s walk on 26th September in Roxwell there will be a buffet lunch at the Chequers Inn which must be pre-ordered. An application form is available for your use.

WALK LEADERS PLEASE NOTE:- If a walk has to be cancelled at the last minute, the leader should contact the Chairman or Vice Chairman but, if neither is available, then the membership Secretary or then any Committee member so that, if possible, any notification procedures can be invoked. Also, if there is a change to pub facilities, you should telephone the Membership Secretary so that an urgent e-mail can be sent out.

Advance Booking to Lead Walks

Don’t forget, you can book a space to lead a walk in advance of the programme being announced. This means that you can book the dates that suit you. The next programme will run from April to July 2018. Remember, you can see the available dates on our website which will be updated weekly from February onwards. Please contact Cliff Downes on 01702 525410 or e-mail This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Car parking at pubs

Just a reminder to members, if you are attending a walk starting from a pub but not staying for lunch or a drink afterwards, not to park in the pub’s car park but, instead, find alternative parking nearby. It is particularly relevant if the majority of the car park is taken up by our Group’s vehicles and other customers are unable to find parking spaces. However, if appropriate parking is proving difficult to locate, please speak to the walk leader who will endeavour to assist accordingly
